101 Social Media Post Ideas for Real Estate Agents

I don’t know about you, but coming up with different things to post on social media sometimes feels like a full-time job.

Tell me if this sounds familiar…

You are going about your day prospecting neighborhoods, following up on contracts, schmoozing with your sphere of influence when all of a sudden you remember that you haven’t posted on social media today (or yesterday, or at all in the last week!). YIKES!

You quickly scan through all the photos on your phone hoping to find one that you can post. Scroll, scroll, scroll. You finally find one. NOW you have to come up with a witty, smart or interesting thing to say about this photo. DAMMIT, I bet you wish you had paid better attention in writing class at this point. You muster up a spur of the moment status update and hit send.

Ugh that was stressful.

Now imagine, if you had taken 30 minutes out of your day on Monday morning to schedule your Instagram posts & Facebook for the week this mid-day panic attack would not have happened. And you’d probably have a more cohesive social media strategy. That would be pretty great, right?

Well look no further, in this blog post we are going to give you 101 social media post ideas that you can use to develop your own Instagram strategy for your real estate business. We’ve broken this list down into 7 different categories:

  1. Real Estate related posts
  2. Personal posts

Real Estate Social Media Posts

One of your goals on social media should be to brand yourself as a real estate expert and remind your followers what you do for a living. In order to do this, you’ll want to post frequently about your job. What it’s like to be a real estate agent, the fun things you see on a daily basis and the homes you are helping to buy & sell.

Personal Instagram Posts

Now that we’ve got the business-y posts out of the way, it’s time to get a little more personal. You can’t be ALL business on your Instagram account because people that know you or people that may become your potential clients want to see the human aspect of you.

How boring would your Instagram account be if it was photo after photo of houses and real estate signs, no sign of personality anywhere? BORING.

Which is why you’ll also want to incorporate a healthy mix of personal posts as well. Now you don’t have to go straight TMI with these posts obviously, but you do want to share a little about yourself from time to time.
